SKU:005#Leaf_Lines

Ginkgo leaves layered like scales cover the whole wall here, and the straw yellow brightens the cool slate greys like sun on a cloudy day. The design leaves no empty areas, so even a large wall looks full and cheerful, and a dining room, kitchen or hall gains a lively but orderly rhythm.

What can you see in the design?

The whole surface of the image is densely filled with ginkgo leaves that overlap in layers, with no large open spaces. Each leaf has a fine drawing of veins, and the leaves come in three tones: slate grey-blue, white with a pale grey line, and pale yellow, straw-coloured, with a warm yellow outline. The colours are spread evenly; the largest yellow leaves lie in the bottom left corner, at the bottom in the middle and in the upper right part. In the gaps you see a white background with grey-blue streaks of watercolour that resemble marble, and small sandy dots like paint spatter. On a wall 260 cm high the individual leaves are about 80–140 cm wide, so the drawing of the veins is clearly visible even up close, at the table. The whole image, in the proportions of the file, is then about 450 cm wide.

Which interiors does it suit?

In a dining room with an oval walnut table placed in the middle of the room, the leaves form a backdrop for chairs upholstered in slate velvet, and yellow tulips or straw-coloured ceramics pick up the warm fans. In a kitchen the design suits a free wall opposite the fitted units, behind a long oak table with rattan chairs; cement tiles in grey and ochre complete the palette. In a hall or hallway with pale terrazzo and a teak bench with a mustard cushion, the dense pattern will give character even to a narrow wall, because every part of it is equally rich. It suits Art Deco, mid-century modernism and Mediterranean interiors, and pure white or a very pale grey looks good on the neighbouring walls.

How do you choose the size and material?

We print the image to the size of your wall, and you choose the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. The leaves are spread evenly, so on a narrower wall the design looks much as it does on a wide one; by moving the crop you mainly choose how many yellow leaves end up by the edges. The two main materials are Mura Vinyl Canvas, with the texture of natural canvas and the most versatile – its weave calms the dense drawing – and Mura Vinyl Intonaco, structured, with the texture of trowelled plaster, which in the light of a lamp on the table gives the marbled streaks depth. The alternatives are Mura Vinyl Sabbia, with a pronounced coarse sand grain, neither smooth nor satin, which picks up the sandy dots in the background, and Mura Natur, an eco-friendly non-woven – matt, odourless and hypoallergenic – whose matt surface keeps the softness of the straw yellow.

How can you buy with confidence?

The colours of this design are best judged at home, so order a sample from the product page: a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials, shipped in 1–3 working days. Hold it against the wall next to the chairs and tiles and check whether the straw yellow has the right warmth for you, and the slate the right coolness; you can also compare the textures of the materials. You can create an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room yourself on the product page, and we will prepare a studio visualisation on request in 1–2 working days. The studio can also adjust the composition, colours and crop, for example by reducing the share of yellow leaves. Orders are usually completed in 3–7 working days; shipping within Poland and Europe is free, and on request we arrange installation across Europe, priced individually.

You will find more designs with leaves drawn in a fine line in the Leaf Lines collection, and images with plants and nature in the Nature collection. If you are not sure how to combine the design with the tiles in your kitchen, book a consultation with our team.
