SUNLIT THICKET - a painted wallpaper / wall mural featuring forest animals

SUNLIT THICKET is a painted illustration of a forest clearing, where a dozen animals — foxes, a bear, a hare, a squirrel, a hedgehog, a mouse, birds, and a dragonfly — sit among ferns, moss, and tall grasses. The technique is watercolor and gouache, with visible brush strokes and a soft blur in the background; the palette consists of deep greens, sea blues, beiges, and russets. The composition is horizontal, panoramic, and designed for a single wide wall.

What exactly can be seen in the pattern

The center of the frame is filled with a bright clearing: vertical beams of light pierce through the trunks and separate the darker areas of leaves on the sides. The animals are arranged on two planes — larger figures (a bear, a fox with an elongated snout, a russet rodent, a deer covered in greenery) sit at mid-height, while smaller ones (two fox cubs, a squirrel, a hedgehog, birds) peek out from the low vegetation at the bottom edge. The lower third of the graphic is a dense, dark thicket of leaves without animals. The pattern has no repeat — it is a single closed scene, so each section of the wall looks different.

Which interior suits this pattern

The scene is detailed and colorful, making it best suited for a single wall: behind a bed, above a play area, or in a reading nook. The remaining walls should be left in light beige, cream, or off-white — the greens from the illustration easily dominate the room. When planning the frame, remember that the lower strip of leaves may disappear behind the bed or dresser, placing the animal figures at a child's eye level. The pattern works well in a nursery, in a room for older children regardless of gender, as well as in a kindergarten or playroom. Which material to choose

For this illustration, we recommend Mura Vinyl Pennello — a matte finish with a delicate brush texture that does not reflect light from the window and maintains the depth of the dark foliage. If you prefer a substrate with a more pronounced paper character and a more matte, absorbent surface, an alternative is Mura Natur. Before ordering the entire wall, it is advisable to order a sample and check how the greens behave in the light of a specific room — colors cool down near north-facing windows, while under warm artificial lighting, russets and yellows become more pronounced.
