SWANSDOWN - light wall mural with fluffy grasses for the bedroom

Pale plumes of grass float above the bed like a light curtain and instantly bring calm to the wall. Creamy white on warm grey brightens the room, while the dark leaves at the bottom give it a sense of grounding, so the interior never feels empty or overly sweet. This is a botanical wall in muted tones that pairs easily with wood and linen.

What does the design show?

The image shows five tall, fluffy grass plumes in creamy white. They rise from the bottom edge and reach almost to the top, so on a wall 260 cm high they measure from about 240 to 255 cm. The widest plume stands on the left of the image, the next one curves in an arc to the right, the two narrower ones in the middle have a grey-olive core, and the slenderest, palest plume closes the composition at the right edge. In the lower third, up to a height of about 85 cm, they are crossed by thin, sabre-shaped leaves in olive graphite, fanning out to the sides. The background is a warm grey with horizontal, rubbed streaks and a fine grain. The contrast between the pale plumes and the dark leaves is distinct, yet the palette stays muted: cream, warm grey, grey-olive and graphite. With an image width of about 460 cm, plenty of calm background remains between the plumes.

Which interiors does it suit?

The bedroom is the first choice for this wall mural with fluffy cream grasses. The pale plumes look good above a low bed, because the headboard covers only the thin leaves, while the plumes remain fully visible. In soft morning and evening light, the creamy white never feels harsh or overwhelming. It goes well with dove-grey bedding, oak parquet and walnut bedside tables.

In a rustic or coastal-style living room, the design combines with linen, rattan and light wood, and the plumes rise high above the back of the sofa. In an office or meeting room, the muted palette and the rhythm of five vertical lines bring order to the wall behind the table without drawing attention away from the conversation.

How do you choose the size and material?

SWANSDOWN is one large image printed to the size of your wall. You set the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. If your wall is narrower than the image, choose a crop with at least three plumes to keep the rhythm of the composition.

• Mura Vinyl Canvas – natural canvas weave, the most versatile material; it brings out the softness of the plumes when seen up close, for example above a bed.
• Mura Vinyl Intonaco – trowelled plaster texture; it enhances the rubbed streaks of the background, which shows best on a large wall viewed from a few metres away.
• Mura Vinyl Sabbia – a pronounced coarse sand grain texture, neither smooth nor satin; an alternative if you want a more tangible grain in the grey background.
• Mura Natur – eco-friendly non-woven, matt, odourless and hypoallergenic; an alternative if you prefer a matt finish with side light coming from a window.

How can you buy with confidence?

Before you order the whole wall, order a sample of your chosen design: a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials, dispatched within 1–3 working days. At home you can check how the cream and warm grey look in the light of your room and what texture the chosen material has. On the product page you can also create an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room, and on request we will prepare a studio visualisation within 1–2 working days. If you would like a lighter background or a different arrangement of plumes, our studio will adapt the composition, colours and crop to your interior. Orders are usually completed in 3–7 working days, shipping within Poland and Europe is free, and on request we arrange installation anywhere in Europe, individually quoted.
