TANGERINE TROT - colourful horse wall mural for living room and kitchen

Warm cream across the whole wall, and on it a trotting horse whose body glows orange, yellow and pink. The navy of the mane, legs and tail keeps this mosaic in check, so the wall is cheerful but not loud: it suits places where you begin your day.

What can you see in the design?

TANGERINE TROT is a single horse facing left, stretched across the whole width of the image. The head is in the upper left part: the ear reaches close to the top edge, the front of the head is yellow-ochre, and the cheek and muzzle are navy-blue. The navy mane flutters above the high-carried neck, and the navy tail reaches the right edge. The body is a mosaic of polygonal patches: orange, yellow, pink and violet, with a touch of turquoise. The legs are navy, with burgundy and turquoise worn marks; they lift in diagonal pairs, as in a trot. The background is cream, crossed by two horizontal bands of rectangles in turquoise, blue and brick red: one behind the mane and back, the other at the height of the legs. The paint looks thick, as if laid on with a palette knife. On a wall 260 cm high with the full crop (about 464 cm wide), the head measures about 85 cm from ear to nostrils, and the horse's belly sits about 100 cm above the floor.

How does it differ from CARNIVAL GALLOP?

Both designs show a horse made of coloured patches, facing left. CARNIVAL GALLOP gallops with an outstretched neck on a cool, white-grey background, has a black mane and more red and turquoise in the body. Here the pace is calmer, the head higher, the background warm and cream, and instead of black there is navy. If you have wood and beiges in the room, this design is the closer match.

Which interior does it suit?

In a living room with a cream floor and a pale sofa, one cushion in burnt orange and a table in a sea shade are enough for the furniture to repeat the colours of the wall. In a kitchen with a dining area the horse runs above the table: an oak table and navy stools cover only the legs, while the body and head stay above the tabletop, and ceramics in turquoise and mandarin on an open shelf repeat the colours of the background. In a coworking-style office the design brightens the relaxation area with armchairs in sea-coloured wool. Place the table, sofa and lamp in the middle and on the right of the wall, under the belly and tail. The left third, with the head and front legs, stays open.

How do you choose the size and material?

The design is a single image printed to the size of your wall, with no repeating module. In the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page you set the dimensions, material and crop. A shorter wall in a kitchen, for example about 3.5 m at a height of 260 cm, will hold the head and almost the whole body; the tail and the hind leg stretched back will then fall outside the crop.
