TANGLEWOOD - pearl grey grass wall mural for the bedroom

This wall looks like a meadow seen through morning mist. Soft grass plumes float above a thicket of slender stems, and the pearl background blurs their outlines. Instead of one strong accent, you get a calm, even surface that quietens the room and never competes with the furniture.

What does the design show?

A row of rounded, feathery plumes in a grey-olive tone runs across the full width of the image. The tallest stand at the left edge, left of centre and right of centre. In the very middle and on the right-hand side, the plumes are lower and rounder, and part of another one appears at the right edge. The bottom third is filled with a tangled web of thin, bare stems that resembles undergrowth. The background is light and pearl grey, with a paler, marbled patch in the upper part right of centre and a fine, speckled texture. The lightest areas shade into ivory. On a wall 260 cm high, the image is about 460 cm wide. The tallest plumes then measure about 110–120 cm, the lower ones about 80 cm, and the band of stems at the bottom reaches a height of about 85 cm.

Which interiors does it suit?

The first choice is the bedroom. A headboard covers only the lower stems, so the plumes stay fully visible, and the pearl grey pairs with linen bedding, whitewashed oak and beige wool. In a bathroom with stone, microcement or grey quartzite, the grasses recall an alpine meadow and warm up cool surfaces. A freestanding bath placed against the patterned wall hides only the band of undergrowth. The third suggestion is a library or a classic-style study: beside a grey velvet armchair and dark bookcases, the light background brightens the wall, while the soft rhythm of the plumes gives the eyes a rest. How do you choose the size and material?

The design is one large image printed to the size of your wall. You set the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. On a narrower wall you can show the two tall plumes from the left side of the image; on a wide one, the whole row. We recommend two main materials:

• Mura Vinyl Canvas – a natural canvas weave, the most versatile. It brings out the softness of the plumes and suits a bedroom, where you see the wall up close.
• Mura Vinyl Intonaco – a trowelled plaster texture, a structured material. It enhances the marbled patch in the background and works well with stone in a bathroom or with a side lamp in a library.

An alternative is Mura Vinyl Sabbia with a distinct coarse sand grain – this material is neither smooth nor satin, and it gives the tangled stems a grainy character worth showing on a wall viewed from 3–4 metres. A second alternative is Mura Natur: an eco-friendly, matt, odourless and hypoallergenic non-woven that keeps the pearl grey calm.
