TEAL LINEN - khaki ginkgo line art wall mural for a bedroom

Ginkgo leaves drawn with a dense, thin line in two colours – deep sea green and cream – interpenetrate on a warm khaki-coloured ground. Silky bands of lines flow through the middle, so the wall looks light, almost like fabric, and brings calm to a bedroom without strong contrasts.

What can you see in the design?

The ground is a beige shade of khaki with a fine, printed canvas weave. Dark, sea-green leaves lie in the upper left, lower down by the left edge and to the right of centre, and cream, translucent leaves open out in the upper part of the middle and by the right edge. Each leaf is built from hundreds of parallel lines through which the ground shows, so where the leaves cross, the colours overlap.

From the left edge through the middle towards the top right corner flow wavy bands of cream lines, which pass through the leaves like thin silk. The lower right corner remains a calm ground. On a wall 260 cm high the image is about 4.7 m wide; the cream leaf in the upper part of the middle is about 200 cm wide, and the sea-green leaf to the right of centre about 170 cm.

Which interiors does it suit?

Bedroom. Khaki and sea green go with linen bedding in the same colours, pale terrazzo and walnut, as in the bedroom setting in a functionalist villa in Prague. A low bed with a low wooden headboard leaves the whole upper part of the design uncovered.

Hotel room. The calm drawing with a Japanese character suits pale wood, paper lamps and a low bed on a platform; the dark leaves give contrast, and the cream bands soften it.

Study. With a dark oak floor and a sea-green leather chair, the dark leaves repeat the shade of the accessories, and the beige ground brightens a room with a single window.

How do you choose the size and material?

We print TEAL LINEN whole, as a single image to the size of your wall; you set the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. On a wall narrower than about 4.7 m, set the crop so that the bands pass through the middle – the image will then keep leaves in both colours.
