TEAL PARASOLS - wall mural with teal ginkgo leaves for a living room

Two large groups of turquoise ginkgo leaves spread high on the wall like open parasols, and beneath them remains a pale, calm background crossed by thin stalks. The room gets a cool, watery colour, yet the furniture stands against an empty blue, so the interior does not feel cramped or overloaded.

What can you see in the design?

The larger group of leaves takes up the left part of the image and reaches almost to the top edge. The smaller one stands on the right side of the image, a little lower, and above the middle a band of clear, pale blue background remains between them, like a gap of sky between treetops. The fan-shaped leaves are turquoise and sea blue, with a deep turquoise centre and lilac tinges at the edges. They overlap like layers of thin tissue paper, and each is covered with a dense, delicate drawing of veins. Thin lines in the colour of ochre run round the edges, and long stalks in ochre and off-white fall from the leaves right to the bottom.

On a wall 260 cm high, the left group is about 2.7 m wide, the right about 2.2 m, and single leaves reach about 1 m. The lowest leaves end about 60 cm above the bottom edge; below that you see only the vertical threads of the stalks.

Which interiors does it suit?

Living room. Place the sofa beneath the gap or beneath the larger group: a low backrest will hide only the band of stalks, and the leaves will stay fully visible. Turquoise goes with velvet in the colour of sea water, white marble and rosewood, so the design suits an Art Deco living room and calm modernism.

Dining room. At the table you look at the wall from a few metres away, so the two groups of leaves read as two large patches of colour rather than a fine ornament. Ash, teak and natural-cord chairs will complete them.

Hotel room. Behind a low headboard, the design gives guests a light wall with one strong accent: the larger group of leaves with ochre lines, which you can repeat in walnut, brass and linen.

How do you choose the size and material?

TEAL PARASOLS is one large image printed to the size of your wall. You set the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. On a wall 260 cm high the whole image is about 4.6 m wide; on a narrower wall, decide whether to keep both groups with the gap between them or to show the left group alone in close-up.

• Mura Vinyl Canvas – the texture of natural canvas, the most versatile; the fine weave shows through the see-through layers of the leaves and emphasises their lightness.
• Mura Vinyl Intonaco – a structured material with a trowelled plaster texture; on the pale blue background it looks like a gently worn wall, most clearly in light falling from the side.
• Mura Vinyl Sabbia – an alternative with a pronounced coarse sand grain, which is neither smooth nor satin; the grain is visible up close, while from the far end of the dining room the wall looks calm.

Turquoise and lilac change between morning and evening light, so start with a sample. It is a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials, which you order from the product page and we ship in 1–3 working days; held against the wall, it will show you the colours and the texture of the material in your interior. You can also create an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room yourself on the product page, and on request we will prepare a studio visualisation in 1–2 working days. If you want to move the groups of leaves or change the shade of the background, the studio will adapt the composition, colours and crop of the design to your interior.
