TENDER GLANCE - pastel wall mural with a white horse for a bedroom

A light wall in which you see the whole horse only after a moment: a white head with a dark forelock, an attentive eye and a body dissolved in beige. The design hardly changes the brightness of the room, but it adds softness and a few warm, coral tones.

What can you see in the design?

TENDER GLANCE is a white horse standing side-on, with its head turned towards the viewer. The head is to the left of the centre of the picture and reaches from the top edge to about two thirds of the height; the tips of the ears extend beyond the top edge. On a wall 260 cm high with the full crop (about 460 cm wide), the visible part of the head measures about 170 cm, and the muzzle ends about 90 cm above the floor. The forelock between the ears is dark brown, the muzzle grey-pink, the eyes dark. The pale body stretches towards the right side of the picture and loses its outline. By the neck and on the chest there are coral and peach patches, the only warmer accents of the composition. Behind the head the background is sage green, on the left it is beige, and on the right almost white. In the lower part the paint settles into vertical drips, as if the picture were running towards the floor.

How does it differ from similar designs?

Compared with NORTH WIND, another white horse in the collection, this design is lighter and warmer: instead of a navy mane and a cool blue it has sage, beige and coral, and the head stands on the left, not in the middle. CLAY AND CREAM and SIENNA STANCE have a similar layout, but stronger, earthy colours of terracotta and rust.

Which interiors suit it?

A bedroom is the first place for this design: with ivory bedding and light wood the wall stays calm, and a sage bench or a cushion picks up the colour of the background. Place the bed by the right part of the wall, so that the horse's head on the left is left uncovered. In a walk-in wardrobe a coral stool or throw will repeat the patches by the neck, and a light chest of drawers will vanish against the almost white right side of the picture. In a bright living room the design suits a linen sofa and ash furniture; by a large window the vertical drips and brush marks are clearly visible in the side light.

How do you choose the size and the material?

The whole composition is a single image printed to the size of your wall. You set the dimensions, the material and the crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. If the wall is narrower than the full crop, move the crop to the left: the right, almost white part of the picture can disappear without harm, while the head should stay whole. The tips of the ears end at the top edge of the picture, so leave the top edge untouched when cropping.

Mura Vinyl Intonaco is textured, with a trowelled plaster texture: the pastel patches look on it like an old, whitewashed wall.
