THROUGH MUSLIN - misty pampas grass wall mural for the bathroom

A wall with this design looks as if someone had drawn a fine fabric across a window, with tall grasses standing just behind it. The contrast here is very low, so the room settles into calm rather than gaining a bold accent. Choose this misty pampas grass wall mural when you want a botanical motif that does not catch the eye the moment you step through the door.

What does the design show?

Pampas grass plumes stand in a loose row across the full width of the image. They are slightly blurred, as if seen through fine muslin. Three plumes grow on the left of the image: two have a darker, beige-brown core, while the third is lighter. In the centre an upright plume reaches close to the top edge. On the right side of the image stand two more plumes with a brown core, and right by the right-hand edge a small, low plume rises. The background has a light, warm grey tone with brushed patches at the top, while the lower part dissolves into a milky haze and pale blades of grass. The palette is warm grey, cream, beige and milky white.

On a wall 260 cm high, the image is about 460 cm wide. The central plume then reaches about 240 cm from the floor, and the plume head itself is about 100 cm long. The small plume by the right-hand edge ends at a height of about 110 cm. On a narrower wall only part of the row will fit, so check in the configurator which plumes stay within the frame.

Which interior does it suit?

It is most at home in a bathroom. By the bath or the washbasin you look at the wall from a metre or two away, and the soft-focus plumes are easy on the eye. Warm grey pairs well with pale stone, travertine, linen and honey-toned wood. You can see this in the room setting with a stone bath in a villa in Sidi Bou Said.

In a bedroom, the design behind the headboard of a low bed does not compete with the evening glow of bedside lamps, while cream bedding and walnut bedside tables pick up the beiges of the plume cores. In a hotel, a spa area or a guest room, the misty grass creates a calm backdrop for loungers and ivory textiles. The dining room photo also shows that, alongside chairs in a muted burgundy, the background still remains quiet.

How do I choose the size and material?

Each design is one large image printed to the size of your wall. You set the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. By moving the crop, you decide where the central plume will sit, for example above the bath or above the middle of the bed.

• Mura Vinyl Canvas – a natural canvas texture, the most versatile material. The weave enhances the impression of a fabric through which you are looking at the grasses.
• Mura Vinyl Intonaco – a trowelled plaster texture, a structured material. It works in harmony with the brushed patches in the upper part of the background.
• Mura Vinyl Sabbia – a pronounced coarse sand grain texture; it is neither smooth nor satin. The grain will be visible in the milky haze at the bottom of the wall.
• Mura Natur – an eco-friendly non-woven, matt, odourless and hypoallergenic. The matt surface suits the soft transitions between the plumes and the background.

Canvas and Intonaco are our main recommendations. Sabbia and Natur are an alternative if you are looking for a stronger grain or a matt non-woven.

How can I buy with confidence?

With such a delicate palette, it is worth seeing the shades in your own space. From the product page you can order a sample of the chosen design: a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials, dispatched within 1–3 working days. The sample lets you check the colours and the texture of the material in the light of your bathroom or bedroom. On the product page you can create your own AI visualisation using a photo of your room, and on request we will prepare a studio visualisation within 1–2 working days. On request, the studio will also adapt the composition, colours and crop of the design to your interior. Orders are usually completed within 3–7 working days, shipping within Poland and Europe is free, and on request we arrange installation anywhere in Europe, individually quoted.

You will find more plumes in warm beiges and taupe in the Pampas Dusk collection, and calm designs for behind the headboard in our bedroom wall murals collection. If you are torn between materials, book a consultation with our team.
