Two dark plant silhouettes stand in the left part of the image like a pair of sentries, while the rest of the wall is left to a grey-blue haze and pale, feathery tufts. This layout gives the room a clear outline and plenty of calm background where the eye can rest. The wall resembles an old, weathered painting.

What does the design show?

On the left side of the image, within the first half of its width, stand two tall, deep navy plants with slender stems. Their crowns are plumes of thin, needle-like leaves, drawn with dense, finely detailed linework. The taller plant, right at the left edge, reaches almost to the top edge of the image – on a wall 260 cm high it measures about 250 cm, the other about 240 cm. Between them and further to the right, across the middle band of the image, creamy white, feathery plants seem to float, blurred like a reflection of the dark silhouettes; the tufts on the right side of the image are about 130 cm high. The upper right part remains an empty grey-blue background with fine golden flecks and vertical drips. Along the bottom edge runs a band of brown ochre about 55 cm high, with visible worn brushstrokes. The whole surface has a painterly texture, and the background colours blend softly into one another, without sharp boundaries.

Which interiors does it suit?

In a study, the navy of the plants pairs with dark wood, a graphite armchair and brass, as in the Art Deco apartment room setting. Place the desk in front of the calmer right-hand part of the wall so that both dark silhouettes stay uncovered. In a dining room, the grey-blue background and the ochre near the floor create a neutral base for light oak, wicker and linen, while the light of the pendant above the table brings out the warm beiges of the design. In the second dining room setting, the design covers the wall behind a round table and chairs in muted pink, and the navy plant reaches almost to the ceiling. In a hallway, where you see the wall in passing from a few steps away, the distinct plant silhouettes read clearly from the door, and the low console on the right does not hide the motif. This navy and cream botanical mural suits Japandi and Art Deco interiors, as well as minimalism in warm greys.

How do you choose the size and material?

Each design is one large image printed to the size of your wall. You set the width, height, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. On a wall 260 cm high, the full image is about 464 cm wide; on a narrower wall, shift the crop so that both navy plants remain whole. The main choice is between two materials. Mura Vinyl Canvas has the texture of natural canvas and is the most versatile – in a study, where you sit close to the wall, it enhances the painterly background without drawing attention away from the thin leaves. Mura Vinyl Intonaco, with its trowelled plaster texture, accentuates the worn patches and drips; in a hallway with side light, the wall then resembles an old fresco.
