VERDIGRIS RIVER - teal and gold abstract wall mural for living rooms

A dark turquoise ribbon climbs the wall from the floor towards the middle, and beside it runs a band of gold dust, like the sandy bank of a river seen from above. A wall like this replaces pictures and shelves: it gives a living room depth, while its pale areas keep the room bright.

What can you see in the design?

VERDIGRIS RIVER is a teal and gold abstract wall mural that looks like ink spilled on wet paper. The darkest element, a ribbon the colour of deep sea green, starts in the bottom left corner and runs diagonally to the middle of the wall. Alongside it lies a wide band of gold dust, widest low down, on the left. In the upper right part you will see a large, rounded turquoise form dusted with gold: it is lighter than the ribbon and softly shaded, a little like a cross-section of agate. The bottom right corner brightens almost to white and has markings that look like marble, with thin gold veins. The upper left part is filled with a light, misty turquoise.

The gold is a printed colour here: a warm, sandy shade that you will be able to judge on the sample. On a wall 260 cm high the whole image is about 462 cm wide. The ribbon together with the gold band then takes up about 80 cm of the wall's width in the middle, the band of gold dust itself is about 2 m long, and the rounded form is about 180 cm wide.

What kind of interior does it suit?

First, the living room. The design works well with light, warm materials: a cream sofa, travertine, smoked glass and a brass lamp repeat its white and gold, and the dark ribbon gives them a backdrop that a plain wall cannot. The gold band starts low, just above the floor on the left, so leave that part of the wall uncovered or put low furniture beside it.

The second option is an Art Deco-style study, with a walnut desk and an armchair upholstered in green leather. The green of the furniture and the turquoise of the ribbon belong to one family of colours, and the gold veins link up with brass details. VERDIGRIS RIVER also looks good in a restaurant or a hotel lobby, where it is seen from several metres away under warm spotlighting: the dark turquoise then visually pushes the wall back, and the gold band leads the eye deep into the room.

How do you choose the size and material?

It is one large image printed to the size of your wall, with no repeating motif. You set the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. On a wall about 3 m wide and 260 cm high, about two thirds of the image will fit, so decide what is to stay in the crop: the diagonal ribbon with the gold band, or the rounded form on the right.

We recommend two materials to begin with. Mura Vinyl Canvas has the texture of natural canvas and is the most versatile, and it adds a fine pattern to the dark planes of turquoise. Mura Vinyl Intonaco has the texture of trowelled plaster, with a pronounced structure, and suits the marble-like markings of the light corner. The alternatives are Mura Vinyl Sabbia, with a distinct coarse sand grain texture that is neither smooth nor satin and brings out the graininess of the gold dust, and Mura Natur, an eco-friendly non-woven: matt, odourless and hypoallergenic, whose matt finish suits the misty transitions of turquoise.

How can you buy with confidence?

It is worth seeing the dark turquoise and the colour of the gold in person before you order a whole wall. The sample is a print of about 90 × 50 cm, on one or two materials; you order it from the product page, and we dispatch it within 1–3 working days. On it you will check the colours and the texture of the material at home. On the product page you can also make an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room, and on request we will prepare a studio visualisation in 1–2 working days.

On request, our studio will adapt the composition, colours and crop of the design to your interior. Orders are usually completed in 3–7 working days. Shipping within Poland and Europe is free of charge, and to other countries it is calculated at the rate in the basket. On request we also arrange installation throughout Europe, with an individual quote. The print itself is eco-friendly and certified.

You will find more designs in this palette in the Turquoise and Gold collection, and other strong gold accents among the Glamour wall murals. If you are unsure which crop to choose, book a consultation with our studio.
