VESPER COLONNADE - slender pampas grass wall mural for the bedroom

Slender pampas grass plumes stand here as straight as columns, setting a calm, even rhythm across the wall. The warm brown at the top fades into a pale mist near the floor, so the wall feels taller and the room calmer. This is a composition for the evening: muted, soft, with no single strong accent to pull the eye.

What does the design show?

The image shows a row of pampas grass plumes standing almost vertically – there is no trace of wind to bend the stems. The four tallest plumes reach the top edge: one at the left edge of the image, two in the middle section and one at the right edge. Shorter plumes stand between them, so the tips form an even, gently undulating line. The background is darkest at the top, in a warm brown taupe, and lightens towards the bottom into a pale grey mist. The plumes and stems are pale cream, in places almost white, drawn in fine, restless strokes with a painterly texture. There are no dark blades near the floor, so the lower part of the wall stays light and airy. On a wall 260 cm high, the image is around 460 cm wide, the feathery part of the tallest plumes measures around 100 cm, and the tips of the shorter plumes sit around 60 cm below the top edge.

Which interiors does it suit?

In a bedroom, centre the bed against the wall: the headboard will mainly cover the lower stems, while the tallest plumes stay fully visible. The light lower part of the image pairs with white and linen bedding, and the darker band at the top quietens the room in the evening, under the warm light of bedside lamps.

In a restaurant or dining room, the vertical plumes bring order to a long wall above a banquette or bench; seen from a few metres away they create a clear rhythm, and up close they reveal the fine linework. They go well with cognac leather, terracotta, powder pink and dark wood.

In a bathroom with limestone, travertine or light stone, the beige tones of the background are echoed in the materials, and a low bench or bathtub will not hide the tips of the plumes. This tall pampas grass wall mural suits japandi style, warm minimalism and modern classic interiors.

How do I choose the size and material?

Each design is one large image printed to the size of your wall. You set the width, height and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page – on a narrower wall, shift the crop so that both of the tallest plumes from the middle section fit in.

We recommend two main materials. Mura Vinyl Canvas has a natural canvas weave and is the most versatile; the fine linework of the plumes stays legible on it up close, for example next to the bed. Mura Vinyl Intonaco has a trowelled plaster texture – the structured surface deepens the misty transition of the background and suits a bathroom with stone or a restaurant viewed from a few metres away.

Alternatives are Mura Vinyl Sabbia, with a pronounced coarse sand grain texture that adds graininess to the wall in side light (this material is neither smooth nor satin), and Mura Natur – an eco-friendly, matt, odourless and hypoallergenic non-woven, on which the pale plumes look soft.

How can I buy with confidence?

Before you order the whole wall, order a sample from the product page: we send a print of around 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials within 1–3 working days. Hold it against the wall in your own light and check how the brown taupe and cream plumes look next to your furniture and how the texture of the material appears. You can create an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room yourself, right on the product page, and on request we will prepare a studio visualisation within 1–2 working days. If you would like a lighter background or a different layout, our studio will adapt the composition, colours and crop of the design to your interior. Orders are usually completed within 3–7 working days, shipping within Poland and Europe is free, and on request we arrange installation anywhere in Europe, individually quoted.

You will find more plumes on warm backgrounds in the Pampas Dusk collection, and other calm compositions for behind the bed in our Bedroom collection. If you are unsure which crop to choose, book a consultation with our studio.
