Higher up, there is a fox with a rust-colored snout, two owls, a small squirrel climbing a trunk, and several birds — one of which is perched on the fox's head. At the right edge, a light rabbit holding a twig is visible. The background consists of vertical, blurred trunks in pale blue and turquoise, while the lower and upper edges are framed by fern leaves, branches, and clumps of greenery. The faces of the animals are simplified, with round eyes and pink cheeks — this is a storybook illustration, not a realistic nature drawing.

The motif is a single scene, without a repeating pattern, so the print scales to the wall size as one image. The heads of the largest animals occupy a significant portion of the frame's height, making the pattern look great on a full wall behind a bed or above a play area, where the entire group is visible.
