Collection: Sage Silk

Sage Silk brings together designs with ginkgo leaves drawn in a thin, translucent line on sage, jade and sea-green grounds, with bands like silk flowing through them. The collection is made for people who want a plant wall in green without heavy contrast – in a bedroom, living room, dining room, study and entrance hall, and also in a hotel, restaurant or office. What links the designs is the technique: the leaves are built from hundreds of lines, and in most designs the ground shows through them.

How do you choose a design from this collection?

• Start with the background. Pale sage and mint, as in SEAFOAM EDDY or DEWFALL, brighten a smaller room; jade and sea green, as in SILK LASSO and FANFARE, deepen the wall; beige and khaki in TEAL LINEN, MALACHITE WISP and TULLE warm the interior.
• Choose the character of the drawing. Line designs with silky bands are light and graphic, while APRIL RAIN, STILL POND and MATCHA BRUSHWORK have the painterly look of brushstrokes – this is an effect of the print, the surface of the wall remains flat.
• Decide on the colour of the line. Cream and white suit most interiors, pink and peach in ROSE GOSSAMER or PEACH SKEIN soften the green, and the rust threads in EMBER STRAND add a warm accent, as do the distressed orange patches of the ground in TANGERINE RUFFLE.
• Check the scale. Each design is one image printed to the size of your wall; at a height of 260 cm the largest leaves are usually about 1–2 m wide. On a narrow wall choose a design with one dominant leaf and set the crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page.
• Leave the leaves uncovered. A low bed, sofa or bench hides only the calm lower part of the wall, and the fans stay visible above the furniture.

Before you decide, order a sample of your chosen design from the product page – a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials, shipped in 1–3 working days – and look at the colours and the texture of the material at home, in daylight and in the evening. The studio can also adjust the composition, colours and crop of a design to the interior.
